On September 20, we shared some bad news on our Facebook page. Michael Sabalsa, of Tanauan Leyte, received his Peter Project 2 boat from IBP Makati just three months ago. Sadly, one night last week, his boat was stolen from him. There were attempts on two more, but these were intercepted, while Michael’s boat was taken first. According to neighbors, Michael had been despondent over the loss and would often be caught staring into the sky. Guessing that Michael was probably crying out to the heavens over his fate, we asked our followers to please pray with us for a happy ending to Michael’s story.
Who would have thought that within the same day, Michael Salbasa would find a reason to rejoice?
Shortly after posting Michael’s story, we received three offers for boat replacements for him! We accepted the commitment of the donor who communicated first, and though we are excited to tell you the story behind this, we are honoring her request to remain anonymous.
We thank Ms E, the donor, even as we thank, too, those who indicated willingness to donate (they will still donate, but for other recipients this time). We thank those who prayed for Michael. Truly you have proven that we have a kind and merciful God.
Update: Michael’s boat has been found by the police. Read the story
