Three teams in the Asia-Pacific region are vying for the top spot in the Third Ironman Virtual Race Team Challenge. The winners will receive $5,000 to give to their chosen charity and Team Philippines has picked NVC Foundation as its beneficiary. If the team bags the top spot, 40,000 Mingo Meals will go to children in need.
Competing in this grueling 3-week challenge are Team Captain Ines Santiago and her teammates: Don Velasco, Ian Banzon, Chloe Jane Uy, Ronald Molit, Ani de Leon Brown, and Jael Wenceslao. But there are other indispensable members of the team—the online viewers.
While you may not be an elite athlete, you can certainly help Team Philippines win. Viewers can vote for their favorite Team Captain’s video during the Social Media Challenge. The team with the most number of votes gets extra points. Team Philippines crushed the first week’s Social Media Challenge. Along with the excellent performance of Don Velasco, Ian Banzon and Ines Santiago, the Social Media Challenge points helped put Team Philippines in the lead!
The race continues on April 14 and 21 and the team needs your support! Tune in to the live broadcast of the Ironman Virtual Race Team Challenge at 7:00 AM. Wait for the Social Media challenge and vote for Team Captain Ines Santiago. Let’s help our athletes bring home the bacon Mingo!
