Union Church of Manila celebrated its 101st year this October by turning over its 101st Peter Project boat to a beneficiary in Ajuy, Iloilo, who lost his boat to Typhoon Haiyan last year.
Union Church has been NVC’s staunched partner in restoring the livelihood of fishermen who have been affected by Typhoon Yolanda. Just last August, the group turned over a 3rd set of 25 boats for fishermen in Panay who lost their original boats to Typhoon Yolanda.
