11 Peter Project boats turned over in Punta Taytay, Bacolod City

June 2, 2018

These blue and white fishing boats may not look like the familiar yellow boats of NVC, but they are Peter Project boats nonetheless. A donor who wishes to remain anonymous donated 11 boats to fishermen’s helpers in the coastal community of Punta Taytay, Bacolod City. The boats are all named after the different titles attributed to the Blessed Virgin Mary, such as Our Lady of Fatima, Mary Mediatrix, Miraculous Medal, etc. In keeping with the theme, the boats were painted blue and white, the usual colors of Our Lady’s garments. This donation brings NVC’s Peter Project total to totals 4,939 boats that are helping to provide a better income to the families they serve.
