A donor contacted us soon after we announced that the LoveBags project was up and running again. This donor’s birthday is July 17th. However, the donor wanted LoveBags as a gift for someone else. The donor’s relative–Chit Cacho–was also born on July 17th. Chit may have passed away but his family commemorated his life with a generous donation. As Chit celebrated his 71st birthday in Heaven, we chose 71 children to be LoveBag recipients. These children are from GIDACS (geographically isolated disadvantaged areas in conflict situation) in Mindanao. They live in Butig, Madamba, Bubung and Buadiposo. Life in GIDACS is tough and we hope the LoveBags help make things a bit better for them. These LoveBags contain school supplies and hygiene kits.
