For many years, these 35 women from a town in southern Negros Occidental stitched nipa leaves together to make roofing material. This business was doing quite well and helped the women put their children through school. Unfortunately, everything was derailed by Typhoon Odette. The process of rebuilding their shattered lives and battered homes drained the women physically and financially and they were not able to resume their trade.
But thanks to a generous donor who chose to #Sharelebrate his recent birthday, the ladies were able to secure the resources needed for their business to resume. Now the ladies are putting their lives back together, stitch by stitch. What a beautiful way to celebrate another year of life!
