Meet Tet Saldaña-Ko, a Cebu-based fashion designer and Mingo volunteer. Here is the report we received from her today:
“I’m happy to report that the Mingo I served in one of the barangays in Medellin, north of Cebu, was a super hit!!! I was able to make 300 cups. I mixed the Mingo with water, fresh mangoes and fruit cocktail. Not only did the kids ask for more, even the adults helped themselves to seconds.
The other 4 kilos Mingo I sent to another group that went to the surrounding islands in Bantayan.
People from other relief operation groups kept on asking about Mingo and said that it is very affordable and convenient way to feed the kids.”
