Gigi Mondoñedo Campos wears many hats. She’s been an artist, entrepreneur, community leader, wife and mother as well as a loyal supporter of NVC Foundation. Back in 2011, NVC President Millie Kilayko took a mosaic class offered by Ms. Gigi. and Ms. Millie began making mosaic art pieces for fun. From there, she decided to challenge herself to make mosaic crafts to raise funds for NVC projects (see related stories). After that, she realized that she could teach others the craft and this would allow them to make an honest living. What started out as a hobby for Ms. Millie eventually developed into the Artisans of Hope Livelihood Workshop. What’s more, the proceeds of the crafts the artisans make now help fund the different projects of NVC.
Recently, Ms. Gigi donated a collection of framed watercolor paintings of botanicals in blue and white vases. These will be sold to help raise funds for Mingo Meals. This is not the first time that Ms. Gigi’s artworks have helped raise funds for NVC. In the past, we sold her colofrul watercolors of birds, butterflies and botanicals as well as notecards of her Garden of Hope Collection to support our Mingo Meals Nutrition program. Thank you, Ms. Gigi, for all your support!
