Artisan Jayson is now a registered criminologist!

NVC’s Aritsans of Hope workshop was closed on January 18, 2020. Everyone headed off to a picnic celebration because Jayson, one of our artisans, is now a registered criminologist. Jayson has been crafting mosaic pieces in the workshop while shuttling to and from school. It was hard to do both, but this helped him through school expenses like daily transportation needs and school projects, too. Congratulations, Jayson. You are so a part of us that we feel like we passed the test as well!

NVC’s artisans of hope

Jayson’s message: I would like to thank Millie Kilayko for having this little celebration of ours. On behalf of the mosaic family, thank you. The past 2 years of working has been a big financial help. [My income] served as my daily allowance while going to school. It was hard on my part that while going to school, I also had a sideline job doing mosaics, but I needed it to support my schooling. My earnings paid for my daily commute and for my school projects until I graduated. Even during these past months, it paid for my board review. But all the hard, tiring work paid off because I passed the board exam for criminologists, so I feel a lot of gratitude for my work, which also allowed me to help others. Now, I have a registered criminologist. Ma’am Millie Kilayko, thank you so much.
