After rats consumed their crops, the people of Sitio Banualay had very little to eat. They had a few bunches of bananas, some coconuts, and the fish they could catch in the river. Our team recently visited this small village tucked away in the mountains of Kapalong, Davao del Norte. They delivered the first batch of Mingo Meals from our friends at Balsam Brands.
The team crossed 10 rivers and climbed many muddy slopes to get to this community but the trek was worth it! The grateful people of the village enveloped their visitors in tearful hugs. The team will be back soon with more Mingo Meals from our friends at Balsam and donations from other generous donors.
