When Hanns Ulrich read about our San Carlos Farmers of Hope, he was moved. He has a soft spot for both farmers and San Carlos and he decided to send his support across the miles from Singapore. Hanns is the Head of Production at Consider It Done, or CID Group for short. He sent a generous donation on behalf of the CID Group. This donation will be used to procure farming tools.
We are still in the process of purchasing the tools but in the meantime we held a special ceremony. Hanns had asked us a special favor. Ms. Mei, one of CID Group’s invaluable employees, had recently lost her young son, Jay Timothy, to illness. And Hanns asked us if we could do something to honor his memory.
So on December 6, the ladies of the Farmers of Hope community planted a narra tree in Jay Timothy’s memory. Though the young boy had to leave this world too soon, the tree will grow and through it, Jay Timothy will live on. It was the ladies’ idea to plant the seedling on the highest mountain peak in the farm so that they could look up to it as it grows tall and strong.
