Before and after:
Hermie, our first Peter Project beneficiary fisherman, beside the house he was living in as of February 2013, when we first me him. At that time, he was earning P50 daily on good days as fisherman’s helper. Life was so bad that Hermie said he had no dreams. Read Hermie’s story here
Today, 17 months after Hermie received his boat, and after being part of a boat building team to supply some of our Peter Project communities (those devastated by Typhoon Yolanda), Hermie has transformed his house. From a one-room shack, it is now a sturdy two-storey abode with a cement foundation and a corrugated metal roof.
More than that, Hermie now has a dream: to send his children to college. It’s NVC’s dream, too, for Hermie!
