Meet Ray Linde and his wife Jinky, who won a boat race with their Peter Project boat in Palo, Leyte last June 7 during the annual fiesta. In the middle of July, Rey signed up to join another boat race among fishermen in Bislig, Tolosa, Leyte. But no one dared race against him because everyone said that his Peter Project is unbeatable!
Rey went off with the P5,000 prize money, most of which went to medicine for Jinky, who once had a stroke. (Sadly, Rey and Jinky also lost a child to Typhoon Yolanda). But he still had P1,000 left, which he gladly shows off in this photo.
Rey’s boat, named St. Peter, was donated by the global technology company Emerson.
