While NVC runs its own Mingo Meals nutrition program, Mingo is also used by other foundations and groups for their own feeding activities because of Mingo’s convenience, low cost, and effectiveness.
Recently, we received a donation of Php 25,000 with instructions to send 5,000 sachets of Mingo Choco to Rise Above Foundation Cebu. The group is using the donation to feed 35 children once a week. To keep things interesting for the older children, their volunteer, Adi, serves Mingo in different ways: as a porridge or drink, or mixed with other food.
The foundation reports that after a month and a half, there has been a significant weight increase of 2 to 3 kilos in many of the kids!
Rise Above Foundation Cebu sent us photos of feeding program using Mingo with the following message: “Here are some photos of the kids while enjoying their Mingo drink/food. They just love it.” What a treat for us to see all of these children’s smiling faces!
