The Negros Trade Fair–Going Strong at 37
The Negros Trade Fair is Manila’s longest running provincial trade fair. It began in 1985 as a way to support struggling backyard industries in Negros when the island was reeling from the sugar crisis. Over the years, the fair has evolved into a much-awaited annual event during which residents of Manila can sample some of the best products Negros has to offer.
This year’s fair took place at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City from September 26 to October 1. The theme of this year was Amuma (to nurture or to care for).
Booths 38 & 40
NVC Foundation is proud to be a regular participant of this prestigious event. We set up shop at booths 38 & 40 where we showcased our Artisans of Hope creations as well as our Mingo Meals and batwan powder. Thanks to everyone who supported us at the 37th Negros Trade Fair, we will be able to take care for the people we serve. We are happy to report that we raised enough funds for 11,275 Mingo Meals for hungry kids.
