27-year old Shiela Mae Baconggon’s dream finally came true! She had a very simple dream of having her own cooking tools and equipment to sell a wide variety of snack items such as siomai, cheese sticks, fishballs and kikiam. Shiela works hard selling camote cue and banana cue using old tools borrowed from her mother. However, since she was earning just about P300/day, she could not save up for her dream.
Today, Shiela proudly tested her new equipment in the stall that had once been her mother’s. It was in this same stall that Shiela’s mother sold various food items and earned enough to put her kids through school. Thanks to their mother, Shiela and her siblings are all proud high school graduates. We hope this gift from her donor helps Shiela provide well for her family too.
After purchasing the equipment that Shiela needed, there was enough cash left over to buy some ready-to-cook items so Shiela can get started immediately on her newly expanded business!
Thank you to the generous donor who wanted to “sharelebrate” the life of Tatay Pepito!
