Many of us were no doubt hoping to kiss the hardships of 2020 goodbye. Sadly, some Filipinos started 2021 faced with challenges. Residents of Bicol Region and Cagayan are still struggling to get back on their feet after Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses. And, as the new year rolled in, so did clouds bringing heavy rain which caused flash floods that swept through parts of Negros Occidental and Bicol. Many homes were damaged while some were completely destroyed. Personal belongings were washed away by the flood waters.
NVC Foundation provided the victims with Mingo Meals but we wish to do more. We wish to repair their homes. We hope to replace lost or damaged tools of trade–fishing boats, farm equipment and carpentry tools. With your donations, NVC can help re-build these people’s homes and lives. May they may start the new year with hope and happiness.
Help Us Rebuild Homes and Lives
Edwin from Talisay City stands on his floor--what's left of his house after the flood. The next time the NVC team sees him though, we are sure that his sorrow will turn to joy as he hears the good news that a kind angel out there will provide him with a brand new house.
