Many of us were no doubt hoping to kiss the hardships of 2020 goodbye. Sadly, it seems we have not been able to shed these troubles so easily. Residents of Bicol Region and Cagayan are still struggling to get back on their feet after Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses ravaged their hometowns late last year. And as the new year rolled in, so did heavy rain which caused a flash flood which swept through parts of Negros Occidental and Bicol taking with them many of the homes and belongings of many of the residents. As part of emergency relief efforts, NVC provided victims of these natural calamities with Mingo Meals but we cannot stop there. Many of those whose homes were not washed away returned to structures that were badly damaged and found that the tools of their trade (fishing boats, carpentry tools, etc) were destroyed or lost. With your donations, NVC can help re-build their homes and their lives so they may start off the new year with hope and happiness.
