Many of us were no doubt hoping to kiss the hardships of 2020 goodbye. Sadly, it seems we find ourselves facing new challenges. Residents of Bicol Region and Cagayan are still struggling to get back on their feet after Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses ravaged their hometowns late last year. And, as the new year rolled in, so did clouds bringing heavy rain which caused flash floods that swept through parts of Negros Occidental and Bicol. Many homes and belongings were washed away by the flood waters.
As part of emergency relief efforts, NVC Foundation has provided victims of these natural calamities with Mingo Meals but we wish to do more. Many of those whose homes were not completely destroyed returned to structures that were badly damaged. Tools of trade such as fishing boats, farm equipment and carpentry tools were also damaged or lost. With your donations, NVC can help re-build these people’s homes and lives so they may start the new year with hope and happiness.
Help Us Rebuild Homes and Lives
Edwin from Talisay City stands on his floor--what's left of his house after the flood. The next time the NVC team sees him though, we are sure that his sorrow will turn to joy as he hears the good news that a kind angel out there will provide him with a brand new house.
