Due to the quantity of mongo (mung beans) used to manufacture Mingo Meals, NVC has had to source mongo from many places, including Australia and Argentina. It feels good to procure green mongo for Mingo Meals from our own province, grown by JOL Farmers Association in Bago City.
Jojie Locsin of the JOL Farmers Association says: “It feels good to give back to the community of our own farm workers. And considering this is the first harvest, the farmers will be even happier to know the good news that their produce had been outrightly accepted and paid immediately! Now we can think of expanding the production so continuous supply can be provided locally! Thanks NVC!”
