The Project Joseph recipients of sewing machines in Brgy. Gargato, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, received a purchase order worth over Php 4,000 from Vicmik Enterprises for 216 cloth bags. It is hoped that this will be the first of a continuing line of orders.

Vicmik Enterprises is a Bacolod-based garments company that manufactures children’s clothing. It was an early supporter of the Peter Project, donating fabrics to Project Joseph.

Mary Jane Buenafe, one of the recipients, has already made children’s clothing to sell. Using proceeds from this, she will buy more fabric to sew into school uniforms in preparation for school opening in June.
