Province of Iloilo, an NVC nutrition partner, slashes its undernutrition prevalence

Congratulations, Province of Iloilo! Our hearts leap with joy to see the drastic drop in the rate of child undernutrition in your province–from 38% in 2000 to 3% in 2019! You are true nutrition champions!

We celebrate with you because since 2014, 2,045,670 Mingo Meals have crossed the waters from the NVC production plant in Bacolod, to our neighboring island of Iloilo. 69% of this (1,418,000 Mingo Meals) were through the Provincial Health Office of the Iloilo Provincial Government, through the initiative of Provincial Health Officer Dra Maria Socorro Quinon.
