A few months ago, officials of Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Makati Chapter, handed us their donation for 4 boats for the Peter Project. On July 11, IBP-Makati officials traveled Tanauan, Leyte to turn over the boats–writing messages and installing their logo on the bancas.

After working under the sun, the IBP-Makati donors were treated by the wives of the fishermen beneficiaries to a sumptuous meal from their husbands’ catch.
Their generous gesture caught everyone, even our field officer Alyne, by surprise because we always tell our beneficiaries not to make a fuss and to avoid using their precious resources to feed guests.
But when some of them insist on doing so, the fellowship over the meal becomes a wonderful experience.
