When Dan O’Bannon decided to visit the Philippines after 18 years of absence, he wanted to do more than just revisit familiar places and reconnect with familiar faces. He decided to look for a way to bring something more meaningful and so he opened a “Go Fund Me” page and shared his story and ours as well.
Dan’s project resulted in 18 responders, and today he turned over their sponsorship covering enrollment of 27 children in the Mingo Meals nutrition program. These kids will be given access to a daily serving of Mingo for six months.
Six of Dan’s local family and friends also pitched in and Michelle, his cousin, handed their share, increasing to 33 the total number of kids enrolled in the Mingo program to celebrate Dan’s purposeful visit to the Philippines.
Thank you for allowing us to help you make meaningful memories Dan. We can only repay you with the smiles of the children you will feed.
