Sometime last year, we read the story of a boy who died of malnutrition in a village called Glab in the far reaches of Zamboanga del Sur in Mindanao. We set out to search for the area, difficult and challenging though it was, because we knew that if there was news of one malnourished child, there must be more of them unheard of.
When we finally found them, there were 175 children who needed urgent nutritional attention. Through the help of donors, we enrolled each and every one of these children in a 6-month course of daily Mingo Meals. Sixty were so intensely malnourished that they needed double dose.
Today we share something from Glab that makes everything we do all worth it.
