NVC Foundation recently built 105 homes in the new village in the Ferlou Relcation Site in La Carlota, Negros Occidental. The recipients of these homes were families whose homes had been washed away or severely damaged by Typhoon Tino. This new village was developed in partnership with the local government of the City of La Carlota. Click here to read more about this project. But NVC wanted to do more than just build homes. We hoped to provide livelihood opportunities for the families to help them get back on their feet. We also wished to provide other opportunities to make the community work together to grow. Ultimately, the goal is to help the community develop into one at will not only help themselves but learn to help others as well.Thank you Metrobank Foundation for always providing opportunities to excel, engage and empower the communities we serve

On September 4, NVC Foundation formally received a gift of love from GT/Metrobank Foundation, Inc. at the Grants Ceremony at Grand Hyatt Hotel. This grant will allow us to create shared gardens, local food sources, and spaces in which community life and community spirit may grow among the residents of the Ferlou Relocation Site. Angela Mapa, NVC’s Communications Lead represented NVC at the event. The following day, NVC’s Fairy Godmother Team visited the Ferlou. In addition to distributing gifts from our community of Fairy Godmothers, the team delivered the good news to the families.
This is not the first time that Metrobank Foundation has donated so generously through NVC. We thank them for their continued trust in us.
