NVC is looking for volunteers in the Bacolod City area on May 13 to help us pack 1,000 Love Bags for schoolchildren who need them!
For some children in remote parts of the Philippines, supplies as simple as a pencil or a piece of paper can’t be taken for granted. They use pencils until there’s nothing left to write with, secondhand notebooks, and bring their school supplies in plastic shopping bags. NVC’s Love Bag project provides these kids with a brand-new school backpack stuffed with a complete set of school supplies they’ll need for the coming school year. Learn more about Love Bags
NVC needs your help! We’ve received donations for over 1,000 Love Bags for kids in Bukidnon and Himamalyan, and we need to pack all the school supplies into the bags before sending them off to the mountain schools to the waiting recipients.
When: May 13, 2017, from 10am to 1pm
Where: SM Bacolod Activity Center
How: Volunteers work in shifts of 30 minutes each to pack as many bags as they can.
This will be a fun, easy activity for barkadas, teams, and families! Parents, use this activity to teach your children about the less fortunate and the value of helping others.
Volunteers will also receive a surprise from SM Bacolod. Please drop by and help Filipino school children in need.
